Founder/Owner

Dr. Nicole Forsythe, M.D., M.S. is the Owner and Founder of AplombMD, providing virtual mock medical school interviews for aspiring physicians.

Her medical background is a physiatrist specializing in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in sociology with a pre-med concentration at Vanderbilt University. She then earned her Master of Science degrees in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and in Biomedical Science from Barry University.

Dr. Forsythe earned her medical degree from East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine and completed her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Medicine. She then completed her Interventional Spine fellowship at Non‐Surgical Orthopaedics in Marietta, GA in 2015.

After completing her fellowship, Dr. Forsythe joined Dominion Orthopaedic and Spine in 2015, where she practiced until 2020. She then joined Barbour Orthopaedics and Spine in 2020, where she continues to practice.

Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, in addition to specializing in treating neck and back pain with both interventional and non‐interventional methods, Dr. Forsythe also treats general musculoskeletal and sports medicine injuries. Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

Her latest venture was creating AplombMD to provide virtual mock medical school interviews for aspiring physicians. AplombMD was born out her firm belief that every medical school applicant should achieve their dream of becoming a physician, regardless of where they are on their journey to medical school.

In her free time, Dr. Forsythe enjoys running, outdoor activities, domestic and international traveling, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and spending time with friends and family, including her husband and their two children.
