Strong parents have blind spots too
Sometimes the hardest part of parenting is realizing that love does not automatically allow us to see everything.
We may know our child’s grades, schedule, location and friends—and still miss something happening underneath:
A struggle with belonging
A fear they have not explained
A skill they have not developed
Pressure they do not know how to discuss
A need hidden behind behavior that frustrates us
That does not mean we are bad parents. It means that every parent has blind spots.
This Saturday, we are hosting our first Protection → Preparation: Navigating Parenting Blind Spots workshop for thoughtful parents and caregivers who care deeply enough that they do not want to simply wing it.
We will examine one important question:
What does my child need now, what might I be missing, and what can I do next?
You do not need to arrive with all the answers. You only need to be willing to look again.
